Tribute to Pastor Johnson Olatuyi
Pastor Olatuyi happened to be a very godly man that has impacted my life. I can remember a lot of events and situations that revealed his genuine love of Christ. His demonstration of the love of God is based on practical love not rhetorical.
Pastor Olatuyi contacted me shortly after his completion of real estate training/certification and spoke to me about investing in real estate which I respectfully refused. He persisted and after a while I gave in. I agreed to invest in real estate because of his constant pressure about real estate. When I made the decision to opt for a property, I am ashamed to say that I deliberately did not appoint him as my agent. In my mind, he had no experience because he had recently obtained his certification. I proceeded to get the property using another pastor I considered to be more experienced. He was quite aware of my decision, but to my greatest surprise he was not angry but rather became closer to me. Our relationship kicked off as more transactional/business relationship and it evolved to spiritual and finally to father and son relationship.
God used Pastor tremendously for my family. I have never seen a selfless man of God who thinks about others like Pastor. When he helped us to purchase our primary home a few years back you would think he was doing the goodwill because of his commission, but NO, he did something that was shocking to me and my entire family that I don’t think we will ever recover from. He gave up 2% of his commission for me to purchase the house. The commission he gave allowed us to buy the house. 2% is a lot of money to let go for somebody who is not a member of your immediate family, but Pastor understood that the blood of Jesus that bind us together is stronger than biological blood.
I give God the glory for the life of Pastor. His life made tremendous impact in my family, and he left an indelible mark on me. Pastor, your legacy can never be erased from my heart. For the family, friends, and church members please rejoice for he came, and he lived for Christ. Let us work hard individually to practice loving others like Christ expects us to do. For Mummy and children, the truth is that Pastor Olatuyi’s departure has created a vacuum that only God can fill. Please hold on to Christ, and He will fill that vacuum.
