TRIBUTE TO AN UNDAUNTED SOLDIER OF THE CROSS
Psalm 116:15 “Precious in the sight of God is the death of His Saints”
Rev. Dr. Johnson Olatuyi was a brave, fearless, focused, faithful, loyal, devoted and a die-hard soldier of the cross.
Since meeting him in 2005, I can tell that Pastor Olatuyi was a man of faith. He was a selfless, humble, cooperative, supportive, and honorable man of God who will always speak out his mind irrespective of whose Ox is gored.
Pastor Olatuyi was one of the founding fathers of the African Ministers Fellowship (AMF), an Interdenominational Fellowship of ministers that collaborate together for the promotion of God’s glory and the unity of the body of Christ.
Rev. Dr. Olatuyi first served as assistant Secretary and later as the General Secretary of the AMF.
It was him that introduced me to the African Strategic Leadership Prayer Network (ASLPN) where I currently serve as the National Vice Chairman. He served within the body as an executive member as well.
His contribution to the churches of Christ within the DC Metropolitan area is unquantifiable.
No doubt we have lost an undaunted great soldier of the cross.
We are already missing you Daddy. Sleep well in the bosom of your maker.
