Tribute to the Lion
My Dear Father,
The general, a man of Faith, a man of prayer, a teacher, a man of justice, a caring man, a model, and a man after God’s heart. You stood tall in all things. You never gave up on anything. You served God with all your heart and loved your family unconditionally.
According to Ps.69:9 NKJV “Because zeal for Your house has eaten me up”. You taught me the word of God and life’s realities. Although we may have disagreed on some issues, you always listened to me. Thank you for believing in me.
I remember a time at the beginning of the month, while I was praying for you, I heard God say to me “I have added 15 years to your dad.” I was so relaxed after that. Little did I know it was 15days and not 15 years. On the 16th day, you won the battle and got an honorary welcome.
I remember during a time I was going through life difficulties, I expected you to attack me, but you never did. Instead, you stood by me.
Daddy, you were very humble. I never knew how much you had sacrificed for people until your demise. It was then that I understood what you meant when you told me: “Ayo there is nothing you are doing that no one has not done before.”
Dad, I miss your mentorship and leadership. But Most of all, I miss you and I wish you had told me you were leaving. Thank you for everything.
Rest on General, Till we meet again at Jesus Feet.
I love you dad.
Gideon Olatuyi.
