TRIBUTE TO PASTOR JOHNSON OLATUYI National Overseer: Christ Gospel Mission International, North America
Pastor Johnson Olatuyi was a loving friend, a vibrant minister of the gospel, a good shepherd of the flock, a caring father who rule his own house well, a courgeous man, a missionary to United States, a church planter, a fearless fighter, an encourager and a minister of the glorious Gospel.
His missionary effort: He came to United States when I was serving in House of hope church. On arrival He held a meeting with us as leaders of the local church stating that he came to the country in order to start a branch of Christ Gospel Mission in United States of America. Although he stated that he is willing to be working with Gofamint for a moment and would later start the church. He made His mission and intention clear to us at the beginning. Eventually, he started a branch for Christ Gospel Mission in Washington area and later start another branch in Houston Texas.
As a father, Pastor Johnson Olatuyi was an exemplary father. He trained his children in the way of the Lord. To be respective, responsible and to obey the Lord. Today, they are all somewhere working for the Lord.
A good laborer in the vineyard of God working in active collaboration with other ministers and ministries of the gospel as occasion demands, like Africa Strategy Prayer Network and African Minsters Fellowship just to mention a few.
Pastor Johnson Olatuyi served God’s purpose and his own generation to the best of His ability without any reservation. I know him to be a passionate man of God. A man after God own heart, a prayer warrior and a foot soldier of the lord Jesus.
President Nelson Mandela of South Africa once said “When a man has done what he considers to be his duty to his people and his country, he can rest in peace. I believe I have made that effort and that is, therefore, why I will sleep for the eternity.”: ~ Nelson Mandela from the Documentary: Mandela, 1996
Beloved Pastor, “You have made that effort” Therefore, rest in perfect peace at the bosom of your Lord whom you serve so faithfully
Apostle Peter Odagbodo
