Tribute from African Ministers Fellowship for Late Pastor (Dr) Johnson Olatuyi.
We bless God for the life and ministry of Late Pastor (Dr) Johnson Olatuyi. He was an old school minister who started his walk and work with the Lord when there was no internet, social media, or any of these modern-day fancy technologies for the work of the ministry. He aptly demonstrated that when he came to the USA and applied himself diligently the old-fashioned way. As one of the early members of the African Ministers Fellowship and an erstwhile secretary of the fellowship, he committed himself to diligent service. He was always one of the first to arrive on the monthly fellowship days joining in prayers to saturate the air with the presence of God before other members arrive for the full fellowship. He never slacked in his duties.
He was never a ‘go it alone’ minister since he always associated passionately and freely with ministers in other churches in their programs. He often went around to such events with his wife of several decades. A story of said of how he was assisting a pastor in another church in looking around for premises to locate their church. He was a forthright man than had no problem baring his mind.
We celebrate Late Pastor Johnson Olatuyi and bless God that he has children and in-laws to continue in the work of the ministry after him. You have gone ahead of us Pastor Olatuyi but we assure you that the church is marching on and we are building on your legacy at the AMF Secretariat.
