I Have Lost a Great Father, Brother, Helper Who Led
I have lost a great father, brother, helper who led, mentored, impacted my life so much. I remember in 1979, when he brought a branch of The Gospel Faith Mission International (GOFAMINT) to our home Town Ikole Ekiti , in an effort to bring the mostly idol dominated communities to Christ.Like our mother, would call HIM, hmm “Abayomi Oba Oluwa O je” what you thought me on morning devotion I still practice till today. Daddy as I used to call him, would daily held vigil with me on phone from USA. What you told me the last timeA man of love, that always looking for occassions to give. He will not wait till you ask before giving.Humanity personified, he can’t stay where there is strife, “Ah! we must solve this matter” he will always say. Little did I know that you were bidding goodbye when you called in July after our discussion you told me you were happy that you let me know all the things you told me.My solace is that you have fought a good fight, you have finished your course, you have kept the faith.
