Tribute To A Great Man of God: Reverend Dr. Johnson Olatuyi
Pastor Johnson Olatuyi. How I miss you. How I truly miss you! What a soldier in the Lord!
Since the day I first met you, my life changed completely! You have coached me, taught me many life values, helped me with and understand life experiences and mentored me with making many life related decisions and choices.
I remembered the Sunday school days and how you would sit down and review. You have been there and so very present for me and my family. You have also been present for all the major events in my life! Not only my nuclear family, but also my extended family as well. For you are so loved by many. Oh my, how much I love you.
You never forsake the gospel. When I am wrong, in love you correct me; when I needed a physical father, you were present; when I needed a pastor, you were always right there. You fought for what you believed.
You carried the gospel in your hand and heart wherever you traveled. You believed in the gospel and did not deviate from it. You helped me pray for my children even before they were conceived, during the pregnancies and thereafter. Gabby and Isabelle love you so much. In the early hours of the night, you were praying for each one of us. When we call you, you always answered even if it was at 3:00 AM. You counseled my family until the deepest hours of the night. You have been an instrumental part of my life.
When we needed to fast, you are fasting with us and breaking the fast with us. When we needed counsel, you counseled us. You have done a job well done. A shepherd that watches his flock at night. Like Abraham being a great man of faith , taking care of family, tribe , flock and never doubting God. You had such great dedication to your flock. It’s like your presence is still around because your legacy lives on.
I am blessed we crossed paths. I am blessed and honored that you were my spiritual physical father. Your legacy lives on. What a great soldier in the Army of the Lord. You name is written in the book of the Lord. You have done well. Sleep well.
I conclude with a prophetic statement that Pastor always say“ God is not hard, the world is hard”.
So let us all be encouraged to serve God wholeheartedly.
God will strengthened all of us in Jesus name . Amen
